How do you like living in a 200 sq. ft. tiny house on wheels?
I love it! If you would have told me when I was 20 that one day I would be a minimalist, I would have laughed my head off; I was a collector of crap. After a decade of traveling in some the of most remote corners of the planet and still seeing “all the crap” from our over-consumption, I knew I had to start sharing my stories AND most importantly, walking my talk. Everything I own is in a 200sq.ft. tiny house on wheels; We don’t have hidden storage somewhere with all of our things. I have been paring down my items for many years but the hardest thing is changing habits to stop purchasing more crap that doesn’t truly add to my life or bring me joy. Tim and I tend to purchase quality, sustainable products as well as recycled items. We also try to avoid single-use plastics whenever possible. No one is perfect, but we are working towards being better every day. I encourage you to quit straws and eventually your eyes will be opened to more things you can do to make a difference. Each of us should first focus on our household, our community, and last, our city. If we all did that, we would be more successful; and of course, sprinkle in opportunities to vote for representatives who value clean water, air, soil, and food (and creative ideas).
